Project:Patris Accelerated Learning Centre (PALC)

Patris Accelerated Learning Centre (PALC) aims to bridge the education gap in the high number of OOSCs in Jenta Community in Jos by providing them with access to education. The program provides children with the invaluable opportunity to acquire literacy, numeracy, and computer skills. PALC compresses the conventional school curriculum to help students catch up with lost years of schooling. The program also equips them with the requisite skills to allow them to reintegrate into the conventional school system.

A Boost for Alternative Education

All successful organizations will receive a financial grant to support their proposed projects in Plateau State over a six-month period. This support will enable these organizations to make significant strides in addressing the literacy needs of target children in their communities.

Beyond Financial Support

Our commitment extends beyond monetary assistance. Both successful and unsuccessful applicants, will benefit from comprehensive technical and institutional strengthening support from international development experts from September 2024 to December 2024. They will also support ongoing research to understand the challenges and contributions of citizen aid actors in Nigeria. This holistic approach ensures that even those not selected for funding will gain valuable skills to enhance their future initiatives.

A Step Towards a Brighter Future

The COAL Micro Educational Grant represents a significant step towards improving educational outcomes for vulnerable children in Nigeria. By supporting these grassroots organizations, we are investing in the future of the nation and paving the way for sustainable, community-driven change.

Join us in congratulating these outstanding organizations and stay tuned for updates on their transformative projects in the coming months.
